The North Georgia pressure washing calendar
Climate matters. North Georgia is humid subtropical — our re-service interval (12-18 months) is shorter than the national average (18-24 months). That means timing your wash matters more here than in drier climates.
Here's the calendar.
Spring (March through May) — peak demand
Pollen season ignites in early March. Phones start ringing the moment driveways turn yellow. By April-May, demand peaks at 100/100 in the seasonal index.
Best services to book in spring: house wash (clears pollen and winter mildew), driveway clean (lifts pollen, ground-in dirt, tire marks), and roof soft wash (winter mildew gets active in April-May).
Summer (June through August) — storm-driven demand
Post-thunderstorm mildew spikes. Humidity is at peak, so any algae on the house multiplies fast. Bundle pricing is most popular in summer because customers want to handle everything before the kids go back to school.
Best services in summer: house wash (mildew control), gutter clean (storms blow leaves and pollen back into gutters), and deck/patio cleaning before the summer entertaining season.
Fall (September through November) — mini-surge
September brings a second mini-surge — the year's last good cleaning before winter. October is gutter season as leaves drop. By November, demand drops sharply.
Best services in fall: gutter clean (mandatory after leaf drop), final driveway clean before winter, and Whole Home Refresh for homeowners who want everything done before the holidays.
Winter (December through February) — dormant + opportunity
Demand drops 70%. Most operators slow down. We don't — we run lower-pressure soft wash and gutter work through winter, plus our Christmas light installation pilot in November-January and our maintenance plan signups for next year.
Best services in winter: gutter brightening (oxidation removal), maintenance plan signups (lock in spring pricing), commercial recurring contracts (year-round), and pre-spring driveway prep on warmer days.
If you only book one wash per year
Book it in late April or May. That's when pollen has cleared, mildew has activated, and you'll get the longest-lasting cosmetic and protection result. Avoid booking the same day as your spring HOA event — give yourself 5-7 days of dry weather either side.
