How we do house wash, step by step

Every job runs the same way, in the same order, every time. Here's the standard.

1. Walkaround

Photo siding, plants, and any damage that pre-exists the wash.

2. Plant prep

Pre-rinse plants and grass, cover anything sensitive.

3. Apply soft wash

Even soft-wash application from bottom to top.

4. Dwell

Let chemistry do the work, 5–10 minutes.

5. Rinse top-down

Low-pressure rinse, plant re-rinse, walk-through.

What is soft washing?

Soft washing uses controlled chemistry (typically sodium hypochlorite plus a surfactant) at low pressure to kill mildew and algae at the source. It's the industry standard for siding, stucco, painted brick, and roofs because it doesn't damage the surface.

Soft wash vs pressure wash for a house, what's the difference?

Pressure washing uses high-PSI water to blast surfaces clean. Soft washing uses cleaning solution to dissolve and kill the organic growth. For most home exteriors, soft washing is correct. Pressure washing belongs on concrete, brick walkways, and decks.

How often should I have my house soft washed?

In North Georgia, every 12-18 months. Our humidity accelerates mildew growth versus the national average. Customers in shaded lots may need it annually.

Will the chemicals harm my plants?

Plants should be pre-rinsed with fresh water (which dilutes any drift), and post-rinsed after the wash. This is the same protocol used by every reputable soft-wash operator and has been safe for thousands of homes.
