Why a surface cleaner instead of a wand

Both run the same pressure. The difference is how that force reaches the concrete, a hand-swung wand concentrates it at a point and leaves the striping you can still see a year later, while a 16-inch head spreads it across the whole pass at a fixed height.

Why red clay doesn't rinse off North Georgia concrete

Pollen and dust sit on the surface and move with water alone. Red clay carries iron oxide down into the pores of the slab, so the colour ends up inside the concrete rather than on it, which is why a pressure-only wash can leave a driveway clean and still faintly orange.
